TQ How to make a custom eye frames with the Wonderland theme
I really love Alice in Wonderland. I had a couple of the books (Different versions) and watched the variations of the movie. I even custom ordered the storybook with all the names of the characters changed to the names in my family. And the title of the book is called "Stella in Wonderland"!
So this project was not too difficult to make. It was my first time working with printouts and making cabochons out from them, so I was not too familiar in the process. Plus, I was really going with the flow when I was creating this, I did not have any blueprint in my mind (Again...)

The printouts I got were with the reddish-purple hues, so I thought I could create resin jewels and mix and match with the Wonderland cabochons onto the frames.
I got them from an etsy store as I was searching through inspirations related to Alice in Wonderland. It was not too expensive, but after receiving it, I thought maybe I could have just printed them out myself. Maybe next time, I'll just create images I like and print them out to make cabochons. We'll see.
Materials Used:
- UV Resin
- UV Lamp
- Resin Colors (Pink, Blue - Mixture to get different purple hues)
- Silicon Mold (Small molds for making resin jewels)
- Silicon Sticks
- Silicon Cups
- Alice theme pictures that can be made into a custom cabochon
- Any additional charms or cabochons
- And an eye frame of your choice!
The whole project had been very fun for me. This was a pair of glasses I bought & made in Korea years ago. I had it sitting on my frames shelf for the longest time and I did not wear it. I found the frames too 'thick' and did not look good on me, wonder why I bought it then.
I really wanted to create a 'Wonderland' theme collection. This is my very first trial and I love it. But from this project, it had also gotten me thinking, I am imagining more 3D fixtures that I can attach to the eye frame - something like an actual teapot or a tea cup or a stopwatch. Or maybe some poker cards. Currently, the 3D effects are more from the jewels that I've made. I would very much like for the main characters or objects from Wonderland to be the hero items on the frames. Will explore and research a bit on how I could accomplish that.
Stay tuned!!!

That's all for today... Hope you enjoyed reading and watching the video!
Love
