First online baking class with my boys!

Today is a special day in the sense, my company has set today as the 'Take Your Child to Work Day' and there is a suite of events lined up for the day covering parents webinars on "How to Live Well & Prosper", "Screen time management", "Expert advice for Pandemic parenting", "Connecting with real parents within the organization" and even a "Virtual Cooking Class" with Oui Chef Chicago.

I had to make some fond memories with my boys with the Cooking Class! It's their first time trying baking and we had a total blast today!!! And the cookies taste yummy too!!! Check out our whole experience in the video!

These crackers are super easy to make and you'll only need very little ingredients! They were supposed to be cheddar crackers. But since I did not buy cheese in time.... I can only forgo the cheese and make them as normal crackers.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ¼ Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1 Cup Finely Grated Sharp Cheddar Cheese (Which I omitted in the video)
  • ½ Teaspoon Salt
  • 2 Teaspoons Freshly Cracked Ground Black Pepper
  • 4 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  • ½ Cup Cream
  • Cookie cutters (Which I did freestyle and my mom used the bottom of the measuring cup as cookie cutter - creative!)

The boys totally had a blast and enjoyed it (And they are still in their PJs!). It was really just for fun but the crackers actually turn out great and yummy too! The cooking class was for about 40min but it was actually a lot easier and wouldn't require 40min to make them. We had many other families with kids joining the online class together, which made it all the more fun. My boys saw the other kids on the iPad screen and they were frantically saying 'Hi' to everyone... Haha.... So adorable...

I think I can definitely find some other interesting online classes to attend with my boys and my husband next time. Hope you enjoy the video and the read!

Love

TQ
